How is a simple act as Chewing will help you with improving your health, nutrition, and ultimately your fertility?

Let me ask you this: have you ever had stomach aches, gas, stomach upset or problems with constipation? Did you know that not chewing your food affects that?

Chewing is the mechanical act of gnawing your food into bite-size and ultimately minute pieces that will help with your digestion.

Experts say that chewing your food more than 32 times for each bite before swallowing will assist those digestive enzymes in your stomach thereby producing less gas and absorbing assimilating the vital nutrients your body needs in the small intestine.

Enjoy your food and company. First say grace and bless your food and be grateful for what you are about to partake. Next smell your food. Pay attention, this is very important. Chew your food thoroughly. Chew as much as possible. Let your saliva do its work. Digestion in your stomach uses a lot of energy. Simple when you are pregnant or trying to get pregnant you need essential vitamins and minerals such as folic acid, Vitamin D, Vit B 12. These foods are absorbed in the small intestine. When you chew your food more they get digested easily and absorbed in the small intestine. Therefore, getting those nutrients you need for you and your baby.

Here are other important tips for digestion:

Do not eat sugary fruits or food containing sugar after you eat, this may cause gas and bloating. Do not exercise vigorously immediately after eating to reserve the energy for digestion. If you want to lose weight, eat your food slowly to minimize the amount of food that you eat. Avoid drinking water in between your meal. Drink water 30 minutes before and after meals instead.

How do you chew then?

Do not overload your spoon or fork. Get enough food that will fit the utensil you are using. Chew for more than 25 to 32 times. Let’s face it who has the time and energy or even memory to remember to chew that many times. Keep in mind instead that when your bite has lost it’s texture, you may swallow your food.
