Sleep and stress management

Sleeping is overrated or underrated. Either way a lot of us are not getting enough.

School age Children need 10 to 11 hours of sleep at night each day. Adults take about 7 to 9 hours. This means lights out at 8- 9 PM for children and 10 PM for adults. But if you’re in my household my child sleeps close to 11 PM and my hubby at 12 or sometimes 1 AM and I like to sleep close to 10:30 PM. Why is sleep important? Some people get by with less than 6 hrs. of sleep. Yes, you can but is that truly living stress free? Do you get grumpy and need your 3 pm coffee just to stay awake while your boss calls a late afternoon all hands zoom meeting?

Our brain needs sleep, our body needs sleep to recharge.

What are a few of the ways you can get a good, nice sleep? Take a hot bubble bath with Epsom salt. Keep your bedroom dark. You might even wear eye shades and ear plugs. Avoid drinking caffeine or alcohol before sleeping. Listen to some calming music before bed.

Nighty-night. Sweet dreams.
