It is important that we spend time reconnecting with our body on a daily basis. This is called grounding.
How do we do this?
By standing with your feet apart at a comfortable distance. We then visualize and come to an awareness of our feet like roots touching the ground. Breathe in and out, drawing energy from the sky above then to the earth below.
Another way of calming your mind and reconnecting your body to the earth is through meditation.
Go into a quiet place in your home or outside communing with nature. You can either pray and do deep breathing exercises. Be aware of your surroundings, give thanks and praise to God of the beauty all around us. Smell the roses, breathe out relaxing your body, be aware of your senses from your head to your toes.
