B- Breathe. 

Do breathing exercises. Try Box Breathing: Inhale for 4 counts, hold for 4 counts, exhale for 4 counts, hold for 4 counts. Repeat 3-5 times or 4 breaths in and 4 breaths out x 10 times. Smell the roses and blow out the candles. Get oxygen in your lungs and is a meditation exercise as well. Test for lung capacity or presence of lung fibrosis: Breathe in for 10 seconds.

Importance of deep breathing exercise.

 

R-Rest/Relaxation. 

This pertains to sleep and stress management. Adult needs at least 6-8 hrs of sleep a day. School aged-kids 9-10 hrs. Avoid watching TV, computer time an hour before sleeping. Quite and calm down, may read books, prayer, meditation before going to sleep. Create a sanctuary Make it dark! Unplug. Establish a bedtime (10pm or earlier!)Rest & digest (avoid going to bed full)

Stay up to date on the latest facts from trusted sources & experts However, Take breaks from news and phone (especially before bedtime). Practice stress reducing techniques such as deep breathing, meditation, prayer, gratitude and/or visualization. Call a friend or loved one to stay emotionally connected. Get some exercise, go for a walk, spend time in nature.

Gratitude, create routine.

 

E- Exercise. 

Be active, walk, exercise, cardio, stretching at least 30 min a day. Get out, bathe in the sun before 9 am and after 4 pm depends on weather. Natural Vit D is good for you. Move! (to tolerance and enjoyment; be mindful of physical stress/overexertion)

Move the lymph with gentle jumping or blowing bubbles

Eye strain- When reading or on the computer do the 20-20-20 rule. After 20 minutes look 20 ft away for 20 seconds. Or every hour get up and walk around the length of the living room or the kitchen and then back to what you were doing. If sitting too long, stand-up and stretch.

 

A – Apply essential oils as alternative to medicine. Apply essential oils in a diffuser.

Breathe easier. Apply  a drop  of lavender scented oil  to your mask for instant aromatherapy.

When life gives you lemons, add a few drops of lemon citrus scented oil to your mask.

Flu viruses are constantly changing, which can make them hard to treat. Medications can help relieve symptoms, and some people also try alternative therapies, such as essential oils.

However, there is no evidence to suggest that essential oils can treat or cure flu symptoms or those of other viruses, including coronaviruses. They also will not prevent a virus from becoming more severe.

That said, some people with mild symptoms may find that essential oils help them feel better.

Some essential oils may help fight flu viruses, though more research is necessary.

 

T – take homeopathic medicine. Take supplements, multivitamins, probiotics. 

Take time to invoke your smell response with flowers, or any smells that bring you joy (frankincense essential oil is a great option, lavender oil is calming)

H – Hydration. 

Drink plenty of water. Preferably 8 glasses of 8oz of water daily for adults and 6 oz a day for children. Coffee or caffeinated tea does not count. May add lemon or cucumber slices to flavor water. Hydrate with water, herbal tea, broths, fresh vegetable juices. Consider water-rich foods (soups, stews, fruits & vegetables)

Hydrate to keep those mucous membranes moist. Gargle with salt water daily.
